Elevate your space with this striking piece of contemporary studio glass. It appears to be signed Vivarini and dated 1.11.06 on the base. Crafted from thick (.25") smoky taupe glass, this cylindrical vessel features a smooth interior and a deeply etched exterior with an elegant, rhythmic pattern reminiscent of windblown grass or reeds. The soft, frosted surface reveals a warm gray-brown hue, smoky and understated, with subtle translucency that catches and diffuses light beautifully. Likely intended as a modernist ice bucket, this versatile piece also works beautifully as a vase or sculptural centerpiece. The substantial weight and refined patterning suggest high-quality craftsmanship, possibly referencing the renowned Vivarini family of Murano glassmakers. While the name may nod to that legacy, this piece appears to be a modern studio creation. A quietly luxurious object that bridges function and form, perfect for adding texture and understated elegance to a bar, console, or other display. Very good vintage condition with minor surface wear, light scuffing, one small fleabite on the interior rim, and a few light scratches on the bottom of the inside. No major chips or cracks. Just over 8" in diameter and 7" high.
