Vintage mid-century teak secretary desk, made in the U.K. by Sutcliffe of Todmorden circa 1960's. This piece offers a slanted drop-down door at the top that opens to space with organizational cubbies, while the inner door surface serves as the desktop. Below that are three full-length dovetailed drawers with sculpted wood pulls, graduated in depth and featuring book-matched teak grain on the front. The piece sits up on legs so there is room for one's feet while sitting at the desk. There is a lock for the top part with key that doubles as a handle. The desk is in good vintage condition with some expected minor wear, mostly to the lower sides. 29.75" wide, 17" deep, 9.25" deep at the top, 40" high, writing surface is 28.75" high.
