Vintage mid-century teak secretary desk, made in the U.K. by Sutcliffe of Todmorden circa 1960's. This piece offers organizational cubbies behind a slanted drop-down door, with green leather inlaid surface in the door that serves as the desktop. There is also nice storage space in two full-length dovetailed drawers with sculpted wood pulls, featuring book-matched teak grain on the front. The piece sits up on legs so there is room for one's feet while sitting at the desk. There is a lock for the top part with key that doubles as a handle. It's in good structural condition with a fair amount of cosmetic wear. 35.75" wide, 16" deep, the top tapers to 9.25" deep, 40.75" high, writing surface is 27.75" high.
