This vintage Japanese Kokeshi doll features a minimalist cylindrical form with a rounded head and hand-painted facial details. Made from solid wood, the surface exhibits a warm, natural patina with subtle red floral motifs on the lower body and faint remnants of traditional decoration throughout. The hand-painted facial expression is serene and simple, characteristic of traditional Kokeshi aesthetics. The base is carved with four rectangular mortises, indicating it was turned by hand and may have once been part of a larger display or artisan's collection. Minor age-related wear, including small scuffs and surface fading, adds to its authenticity and charm.
