Possibly antique landscape painting on canvas depicting a winding country road or river surrounded by trees and open fields. The composition uses muted greens, yellows, blues, and warm autumnal tones, with loosely rendered brushwork throughout the landscape and sky.The painting is signed and dated in the lower portion of the canvas; though the signature is difficult to decipher with certainty. The date is also partially legible, but cannot be definitively confirmed from the inscription. The canvas is mounted in an older wood frame with visible corner fasteners and wood retaining blocks on the reverse. Both the painting and frame show age-related wear, including surface variation, discoloration, edge wear, and marks consistent with previous handling and display. Condition as pictured.
