This set of two folding chairs was produced by Leg-O-Matic, a division of Lorraine Industries, Inc. Bridgeport, Connecticut. The chair retain original manufacturer labels beneath the seats, including Leg-O-Matic instructions and upholstery tags, confirming their origin. Each chair features a solid wood frame with a warm, medium-tone finish, a rectangular cane backrest panel, and a black upholstered seat. The folding mechanism is integrated into the frame, allowing the chairs to collapse flat for compact storage while locking securely into place when opened. The seats are padded and upholstered in black material, with original foam noted on the upholstery tag. The design reflects practical mid-century construction, combining clean, straight lines with functional engineering intended for occasional or flexible seating.
