This likely antique Japanese ceramic toad sculpture dates to the Meiji period (circa late 19th to early 20th century) and showcases finely modeled detail and traditional glaze techniques.The toad is depicted in a naturalistic seated pose, with highly textured skin, sculpted limbs, and expressive hand-painted features in shades of mottled brown, black, and ivory.The underside is unglazed with a wide circular opening, typical of Meiji-era ceramic production.
