Charming handmade studio pottery incense holder featuring a whimsical seated figure perched atop a rounded base. The figure is modeled with detailed features including a cap, buttoned shirt, blue trousers, brown shoes, and a small backpack, lending the piece a playful and rustic character. The domed top is glazed in mottled green with multiple vent holes, designed for use as an incense burner, while the lower half is left unglazed showcasing the natural speckled stoneware clay. The underside is incised with the signature "BEAL 76" dating the piece to 1976 and attributing it to the studio pottery movement of the era, which emphasized hand-built charm and individuality.This piece functions both decoratively and practically, offering an earthy, folk-art inspired accent for display or use.
