This vintage Mid-Century Modern dining table features a clean, architectural silhouette paired with a practical extensior design. The rectangular tabletop is supported by straight, tapered legs and a simple apron, reflecting the functional and understated aesthetic associated with mid-century modern furniture. The table extends by separating the two main top sections to accommodate a removable center leaf that is stored within the table when not in use. The leaf is not hinged or permanently attached; it is removed from its internal storage position and placed into the opening when additional surface area is needed. Internal wooden support rails guide the extension, and a brass-toned latch beneath the tabletop secures the table once the leaf is installed. When the leaf is removed and stored inside the table, the piece maintains a streamlined, compact profile suitable for everyday dining or workspace use. When extended, it provides additional seating capacity while preserving a consistent surface and clean lines.The wood exhibits a warm, medium-to-dark tone with visible grain throughout.
