A finely crafted Arts and Crafts period wall mirror, dating to the early 20th century. featuring a solid quarter-sawn oak frame with an octagonal silhouette and original silvered glass. The frame is constructed with precise mitered corners and detailed with a continuous beaded molding along the inner edge, adding textural interest and depth. Four raised medallion-style wood appliqués accent each corner, complemented by turned spindle like carvings centered along the top and bottom rails. The oak has a rich, warm finish with visible ray flecks, a hallmark of quarter-sawn lumber, enhancing the grain's natural figure. The glass is beveled around the perimeter and displays scattered foxing, with aneas of light silver loss and oxidation -all consistent with age and desirable in antique mirrors for their character and authenticity. A beautiful example of early 20th-century craftsmanship, this piece is ideal for collectors of Arts and Crafts, Mission, or traditional antique decor.
